It’s a rainy Saturday in Georgia!

My husband and I kind of like rainy days once in awhile.  This weekend we are each working on our own hobbies.  He is working in his shop and I’m making a baby quilt.

My husband is painting our ‘65 Mustang tomorrow.  Today he spent the entire day wet sanding it and this evening he is taping it off.  When it is done, it will be a beauty.  He has totally restored it from the inside out including rebuilding the engine.  I’m so glad that he has a hobby that he enjoys.

Today, I’m making a baby quilt for a friends daughter who is having a girl in March.

I’m following Melissa’s tutorial over at Happy Quilting Melissa.  These 9-patch blocks will soon be turning into a variation disappearing 9-patch.

Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

  1. I'm not sure if I like the car or the fabrics more :)

  2. My first car was a 1966 mustang. This is going to be a beauty. Your baby quilt looks like you've got a great start.

  3. Both the car and the quilt look great. I can't wait to see the finished quilt. Do I get to bind it?
