It was so much fun to see two friends on this trip. I met up with my good friend Cari for lunch and we realized we hadn't seen each other in 8 years. We talk twice a year on our birthdays and we exchange Christmas cards but it was so nice to see her in person and catch up.
My best friend Dianna met me at a quilt store in Des Moines. We have been friends since 9 years old when we lived next door to each other. She moved away when we were 11 and we have remained best friends ever since....we even were each others Maid of Honor at our weddings.

We took a ferry boat ride with some friends Dan & Kathy that were in town for the same conference my husband was in. We spent a day showing them around as they had never been to Seattle. Isn't this a beautiful skyline?Ferry ride from Bremerton to Seattle |
Since my husband and I are both from Seattle, we have lots of family there. We were able to meet up with our two daughters quite a few times, our future SIL, my sister, my dad & step mom, my FIL, my husbands aunt, and my husbands two brothers. When we would meet up with our family, it was usually meeting up for a meal. Did we ever eat. Lets just say that the fish in Seattle is amazing!
While away from Atlanta, we luckily missed the 9000+ count for pollen. When we left for Seattle the the dogwood treas were just blooming and the azaleas weren't open yet. What a nice surprise when we drove down our driveway yesterday morning.
Hope your week is great!
Cindy
It sounds wonderful
ReplyDeleteWow Cindy, that sounds like an amazing trip! How nice for you to see so many family and friends :-)
ReplyDeleteI could live with the pollen if our view was that beautiful. Sounds like you had a nice time in Seattle.
