Over the weekend I made a birthday gift for a friend and followed Ayumi's patchwork wristlet tutorial.
Fabric: Terrain by Kate Spain |
My first block for the bee that I joined is due in November and Esther has asked that we make a Dresden block. I was so nervous when I read the email that she picked a Dresden block that I knew that I had to make a sample prior to making her block. So today I made a sample Dresden block and followed Amy's tutorial over at Stitchery Dickory Dock. I love it!
I bet you can tell that I am a fan of Terrain by Kate Spain. I've only used part of one Terrain charm pack and was able to make three patchwork wristlets and one Dresden block.

What is your pinterest name? I'd like to follow yoir tutorial board
ReplyDeleteI like the bright colours you have used in both the Dresden plate and the zippered pouch. Where would we be without tutorials online? Another one I'm adding to my 'To Do' list
ReplyDeleteI love your dresden plate just wonderful. One day...sigh!! so much to do, sew little time :o)
ReplyDeleteThese look so great , Cindy. I still have a second layer cake of TERRAIN, I MIGHT HAVE TO WHIP UP A FEW POUCHES AND A DRESDAN. I HAVE ONLY made a half-dresden and I was not happy with it. It had rounded edges. I like the pointy ends better.
ReplyDeleteSee? What were you nervous for? It turned out great!! :P
ReplyDeleteThat Dresden is GORGEOUS! You have totally changed my mind on Terrain. I wasn't sure I liked it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pouches too!
Good work Cindy!!! Your dresden looks picture perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThe Dresden is great! Your pouches also look great. Looks like you're having fun - especially with your blogging.
