WIP Wednesday

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

It's Wednesday again and I feel that I've had a successful week down in the sewing room!

What I Completed This Week:

Quilts for Kids - 2 quilts in the mail to corporate for the year 13!!

P2 Modern Solids Quilt Along - Thanks to my mom, it is finished. My mom does all my binding for me.....thank goodness as I just don't care for this final part of a quilt.  Thanks Mom!!

Fall Table Runner - I bought a charm pack from my LQS last Thursday for a FALL table runner.
Fabric is:  Saltbox Harvest by Deb Strain for Moda

Here is a close up on the side table in our foyer!

No Progress:

Kaleidoscope Quilt a Long
Farmers Wife Quilt a Long
Quilts of Valor

New Projects:

Christmas Quilt:  I've been wanting to have a Christmas quilt for our living room for a couple of years now.  When Sweetwater came out with their new line of Christmas fabric, I just knew that I had to get "Countdown to Christmas".  I just love this fabric.

Here it is pieced with out the borders.

Sorry such a poor picture.   Here is a close up.

I bought a FQ bundle and only needed 12 FQ of the 32 FQ for this quilt.  So, I have 20 FQ remaining...I'm sure I'll find something wonderful to make with these remaining FQ!

Last Saturday I spent the day at the annual Miles of Pillowcase Smiles event cutting fabric for the ConKerr Cancer Georgia Chapter. It was a success - 280 pillowcases were sewn.

I hope you have a great week!

I'm linking up over at Freshly Pieced!!

  1. Your table runner is great! I think I actually have a charm pack of that fabric, too. I may have to copy you! I am a huge fan of Sweetwater, too. Can't wait to see your finished Christmas quilt, and see what else you make with that fabric!

  2. Lots of lovely items in progress or finished! Well done.

  3. Love your fall table runner! Found you thru' Sew Darn Crafty's Linky Party! I am your newest follower!

  4. What a great fall runner! Lots of other great projects going on and looks like you'll have fun with the rest of your Christmas fat quarters!

  5. Fun! My mom posted a leaf-patterned pieced fall table runner with fat quarters on our blog this week—so nice to use precut fabric! I'm thinking about giving it a try, so we have *something* fall in the house!

  6. Love the runner! The colors are awesome! I just found your blog and am your newest follower! Thanks for sharing! Have a marvelous day! :)
